DESCRIPTION

Virtual guitar gods and goddesses take their acts on the road with Guitar Hero: On Tour, a portable edition of the breakthrough rhythm-based rock & roll game for Nintendo DS. Like its console-rocking forebears, On Tour is played with a special accessory that mimics the feel of a fret board in the player's hand. The add-on snaps into the GBA cartridge slot on the bottom of the DS. The DS is held lengthwise in the palm of the hand, partially encased in the accessory, with the player's fingertips on four colored buttons. In play, the buttons are fingered in time with colored note indicators that scroll forward in the secondary screen, as players strum the touch-screen with a special pick. The game offers six different guitarist personalities that players can adopt in "Career Mode," and various "On Tour" mini-game challenges offer head-to-head, pick-up-and-play showdowns with other guitar heroes on the go. ~ T.J.
