Well, My cousins, our friend and I used to run a guild in Guild Wars called Disciples of Pwn [DoP]. We started off just being the 4 of us, then started growing HELLA. We ended up being a decently sized, super-social and friendly guild, with some awesome players. We stomped whoever came before us on our path to victory, and allied with whoever seemed fit. Then some shit went down, and we started going highly inactive... I tried making a huge step to put us back on the right track, but my cousins denied me that opportunity... so I took the guild into my own hands. Unfortunately, My cousins and I came to a conflict, and I was forced to give the guild powers back to them. I left the guild, and since then haven't played as much, but It's all good.
Nearly time for this event to finish kinda sad its gonna be stopping soon, I like playing when the snow in a couple of the towns makes them look nice.
I like doing to quest collecting candy cane shards got over 500 of them now. I'll keep them for this yrs Wintersday event.
What is the deal with a-net??? Everytime we find a good way to farm faction they nerf it!!!!! What is the deal?? If anyone has a good place to farm faction now that they nerfed Amatz Basin then please let me know...
My first time doing FOW was confusing for me. I did have the right build. But I didn't know what to do there. i was attacking things right off the bat when we zoned in, thinking it was OK. One of the members asked me if I was new at this. i answered yes. And they explained the whole pinging in, etc. they helped me understand the place a lot.
I really enjoyed that group, even though we didn't complete to due to a couple quitters, -.-
Ive been playing guild wars for about a year now, and i really didnt know anything about it since the summer, when i met my first guild wars friend, we ushully met up evryday (on the game) and would talk about random things and once we met up and he was on a dervish, i had never really thought about dervishes before this, but then i made my own derv. A month later i met an other dervish (he was wearing the same norn outfit as me) and thats the day evry thing changed, he taught me new builds like perma and show'd me what guild wars is really about, not just the boring missions. But after i met him i really started to experiment. It was thanks to these two people that i now feel like an expert gamer on guild wars and not just some noob.
I used to play guild wars back about a couple of years ago and then i got out of it. well now i am back and so far..i only have the prophecies game of the year addition to go off of, but eventually i will get more. neways, so right now i am increasing my characters levels and things are going quicker than i thought they would, just a little rusty still, but soon i will be back at it again.
Chapter One:
It was a beautiful day in Cantha, a sunny 80 degrees on the coast of the Jade Sea. My fellow Luxons and I were eagerly awaiting our call to duty: To fight the Kurzicks. We waited and waited, but no opposing party would join us in our strangely coordinated war. We began to wonder if we had killed them all and could go home now.
This was not the case. From high upon a hill off in the distance, a goth kid was yelling at us. "Yo! We quit! You win!"
We all stood there dumbfounded. The Kurzicks just quit? How could this be? Soon, the meaning of these words set in and we all started celebrating our victory. The war was over and now we could get back to our lives.
I went back to my Guild Hall and had a big party with my guildies. We drank ourselves silly and had syncronized dance parties. This was fun.
Then, I realized that I had to go back to work, so I rejoined my fellow people in farming. This was not as fun.
Soon, farming became boring and I started doing quests and missions in order to save the world. This was the lamest of them all.
I hit rock bottom and as I sat in a Tavern at Droks, I overheard a man next to me talking to the barkeep. "Ya know, my life had a purpose once. I was a fighter! I took on those Luxons! Now look at me...Saving the world...What has my life come to?"
I picked up my mug and swaggered over to the gothyesque man, "You're right! My life too was once exciting and eventful! I would tell stories about how I took on entire mobs of Kurzicks and came out victorious! Now my greatest accomplishment is killing a Fire Imp!"
"I say, Luxon...We need to start a war," said the man.
I gasped! How simple it was! My life would have meaning again! I would have grand stories to tell again! "That's it! That's the solution!" And so, I punched the Kurzick man square in the face and ran away!
The next day, the Kurzicks came to my guild hall QQing about how I hit their friend in the face and told me to apologize. I mooned them and told them to go away.
The day after that, I was back in my AB armor and ready for action. All of my comrades came back to AB and the war raged once again!
End.
