DESCRIPTION
The 2D gameplay gods at Treasure have struck again, this time with Guardian Heroes for the Sega Saturn. When an undead warrior rises from the grave to slay those who forsook him, it's gonna end up in massive, skull-cracking mayhem!
Choose from four heroes (and at a later date, five) — from magic users to powerful fighters—-and get ready to duke it out in side-scrolling fantasy environments. With friendly AI characters that tag around and beat up your opponents, devastating magic attacks, branching storylines, and Street Fighter-style special moves, Guardian Heroes mixes RPG elements and combat action. There are a total of 30 stages in the game but for each game that you finish you will only have played through seven of them. the stages you play through will depend on your choices during the story.
When you've had enough of the single-player mode, just pop in a Sega Team Tap, grab some extra controllers, and enjoy up to six-player battles in the gladiator pit, where you can select of of the characters that appear in the game, more than 50 in all.
Can you vanquish the evil Valgar and restore peace to the land? Play Guardian Heroes and find out. ~ Colin Williamson, All Game Guide
