DESCRIPTION
Midway's first title based on the Gravity Games, a sports event created in 1999 featuring contests in wakeboarding, skateboarding, inline skating, and more, focuses specifically on the BMX biking events making up the competition: Dirt, Street, and Vert. A total of ten freestyle courses are spread across the three events with 21 different riders to choose from, seven of which are professionals.
Dirt has riders taking on a series of jumps along a dirt course, while Street involves performing tricks as players race through an obstacle-laden street. Vert takes place on a halfpipe, where the name of the game is to catch huge air and pull off stunts to impress the judges. Each rider can perform up to 1,500 tricks depending on the event, with the ultimate goal being to earn gold medals.
Two-player competition is also supported with its own series of four events: Graffiti, Race, Horse, and Team Attack. The featured pros include Dennis McCoy, Fuzzy Hall, Andre Ellison, Leigh Ramsdell, Jamie Bestwick, Reuel Erickson, and Matt Beringer. Over 400 motion-captured moves were filmed for added realism. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
