DESCRIPTION

Released the same year as the Genesis version, the Sega Master System Golden Axe lacks a few of the features of its 16-bit brother. The two primary features not found in this version is a two player mode and the choice of three characters. In the Arcade and on the Genesis Golden Axe supports more than one player and allows players to choose to play as either a warrior, Amazon, or dwarf. In this Golden Axe the only playable character is the warrior.

The storyline remains the same though. Set in the land of Yuria, every village has been invaded by the evil army commanded by Death Adder. Death Adder has kidnapped the king and his daughter, and now holds the Golden Axe. One warrior must defeat hordes of evil creatures, rescue the innocent, and take back the axe.
