DESCRIPTION

The evil reptilian creature known as Death Adder has invaded the peaceful land of Yuria. Not only has he kidnapped the King and his daughter, but his armies of thugs, soldiers, skeleton swordsmen, lizard women and other murderous minions are terrorizing innocent citizens. Even worse, Death Adder has found the Golden Axe, the magical emblem of the land of Yuria, and plans to destroy it and kill the royal family unless all the people of the land bow to his will, accept his cruel tyranny and accept him as their ruler. Taxes are skyrocketing, food supplies are diminishing and freedom is a thing of the past. Luckily, an alliance of three brave warriors from the farthest corners of the land is willing to take on Death Adder and his forces.

Ax-Battler is a sword swingin' barbarian who commands Volcano Magic. Tyris Flare also carries a sword, but she controls Fire Magic. Axe-wielder Gilius-Thunderhead uses Lightning Magic to battle the forces of evil. In a one-player game, you can choose any of the three characters to control. In a two-player game, each gamer must choose a different character.

Elves appear throughout the game. Give them a nudge and they will drop magic pots and strength bars. Fearsome creatures known as Bizarrians also appear. If you manage to knock the rider off a Bizarrian, you'll be able to climb into the saddle of the creature and use it as a fire-spitting, tail-sweeping weapon.

Your goal in this game is to kill off the evil creatures in each of the five levels and then destroy Death Adder himself. This will free the king and princess and restore peace and prosperity to the land of Yuria.
