DESCRIPTION
In a post 1943 era world, the cause of war and all human strife was found to be the Medallion. The stone has the potential to grant unlimited power to the wielder, and so the forces of light as well as the forces of darkness covet it. It's because of this struggle that all wars are fought. Four people all touched by the ceaseless conflict in different ways all come together in one purpose. They will destroy the stone, and thusly take away the world's reason for war.
Each pilot commands an advanced fighter plane that possesses the finest weaponry available on the planet. (Not bad for so-called pacifists.) What's more, each ship has a sacred elemental stone that allows them to unleash forces so devastating that everything in the immediate area is vaporized. Not to be accused of being total hypocrites, however, the peace-keeping force also has the ability to erect a shield that simply bounces all the bullets fired at their planes back to the source.
Their journey towards peace through pieces won't be easy. The skies are clouded with enemy fighters all focused on keeping these four away from the Medallion. Players will have to blast their way through multiple stages stocked with hundreds of enemies, several sub-bosses, and a level boss each before they finally arrive at the sacred shrine. Even then, the Medallion's not too keen on being turned into a pile of rubble — so expect a stiff fight.
GigaWing supports two-player simultaneous play and offers a special Score Attack mode that lets you select a stage so you can try for the best possible score and a 100% kill rate. You can also try to overcome your best score in Arcade mode and see the results of your play in the Ranking screen. There's also a gallery with images to unlock to encourage the exploitation of special events. ~ Joe Ottoson, All Game Guide
