DESCRIPTION
New York's PK energy is rising. Ghosts are taking over the city. Who ya gonna call?
Ghostbusters!
Ghostbusters puts you in charge of a brand-new business opportunity — "Professional Paranormal Investigations and Eliminations." In other words, you'll be busting ghosts, just like in the blockbuster 1984 movie.
As the game begins, the bank offers you a $10,000 line of credit to use for a vehicle and ghostbusting supplies. There are four choices of vehicles: Compact ($2000), 1964 Hearse ($4800), Station Wagon ($6000) and High-Performance ($15,000). The more expensive vehicles can hold more equipment and travel faster.
Once you've selected a vehicle, it's time to choose your supplies.
After you choose your vehicle and equipment, your objective is to prevent the world from being destroyed by the supernatural being called Zuul, while operating a successful business. You have until the city's PK energy reaches 10,000 to turn a profit by responding to ghostbusting calls.
A flashing red building means a ghost is wreaking havoc. Race your vehicle to the scene, strap on your proton packs and get ready to capture a ghost. But don't cross the streams. Because that would be bad. Very bad.
Once the city's PK level reaches 10,000, you will automatically be transported to Zuul if you have made a profit. There you must make it past the Marshmallow Man and into the building. If you have failed to make enough money, the game is over. ~ Skyler Miller, All Game Guide
