DESCRIPTION

A spin-off of the popular Ghosts 'N Goblins franchise, Gargoyle's Quest puts players in the role of Red Devil, the enemy gargoyle from the original game in the series. The running, jumping, projectile-emitting, creature-killing action is very familiar in some respects, but the game adds a number of RPG elements to the G&G formula, including leveling up, conversing with townspeople and collecting mystical items. There's also some overhead-view action to mix things up a bit and a password feature for saving progress. Nice graphics and sounds, solid controls and several new abilities (including flying and climbing) round out this ghoulishly entertaining, though undeniably challenging experience. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
