DESCRIPTION
Following 2007's Dark Avatar, Twilight of the Arnor is the second retail expansion for Stardock's well-received Galactic Civilizations II. Presented as the "final act" of the Dread Lord saga, the main campaign brings to a close the game's main narrative. It also adds new options and features that accentuate the personalities of the interstellar races, which have in essence been the primary characters of the epic storyline.
With Twilight of the Arnor, each of the 12 pre-designed civilizations receives a unique technology tree, unique planetary improvements, and a unique weapon type, all designed to distinguish the personality and character of each race while preserving a balance of strengths and liabilities. Available to all civilizations are new ship components that can make fleets faster, tougher, and more deadly. A new star-destroying unit, the Terror Star, is introduced, and a new galaxy size, "Immense," allows for much, much larger maps. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

GalCiv holds an incredibly high place on my list of games, and has probably consumed more play time than any other game I own. Twilight only made the game better. I cannot express how much I love StarDock for this one.”

“If you are a fan of Sci-Fi and 4x strategy, look no further. This game is as in depth as it gets. The only fault it has in my book is that it supports no multiplayer.”

“Decided to go down the evil route, but eventually most of the races allied against me, and have ushered in my downfall. ”

“Liked Gal Civ. Haven't finished it. May not. Probably will finish this game. Especially if there's some multiplayer options.”
