In G.I. Joe: The Atlantis Factor, players guide General Hawk as he fights his way through Cobra's newly designed weapons complex, full of soldiers, gunships, laser orbs, and other dangers. With the ability to troop with up to five other Joes, players can select which character to control as the situation dictates. Joes can also be radioed to provide tactical support by reviving you, and restoring your life bar and ammo.
The most basic weapons at your disposal are hand-to-hand combat skills, which can be upgraded from simple punches and kicks to flying kicks and knee drops. Other weapons include machine guns, laser guns, pulse rifles, and missile launchers. Blast open crates, walls and other items for extra power and bonus items, such as "Pows," which increase your weapons power, "Bs," which add bonus points, and "K-Rations," which partially refill your life bar.
However, the most powerful tool is the ancient weapon of Atlantis — the Battle Orb. This awesome artifact circles your character with a deadly orb, and inflicts damage on any enemy it hits. G.I. Joe — The Atlantis Factor includes a password feature for saving your progress. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
