DESCRIPTION
Taking a new stab at fantasy online RPGs, Fury focuses solely on gladiatorial style combat between characters. Instead of choosing from pre-built classes, you instead build archetypes from four schools of magic: life, growth, decay, and death. Each school brings with it various skills to master, over 400 in total, allowing you to customize your warrior in several different ways. Both ranged and melee combat styles are supported, with the majority of skills instantaneously cast for fast, frenetic action. Before engaging in battle, characters must choose which skills, weapons, and items to bring into each multi-tiered arena.
Fury features three distinct player-versus-player types: Vortex, Elimination, and Bloodbath. Vortex is a team-based capture-the-flag variant, while Elimination is a five-match series played with two teams of four. Bloodbath, as the name suggests, is a fighting free-for-all that involves collecting blood tokens from defeated rivals. After the end of each heated match, combatants will be taken to a results screen that displays key statistics such as ranking, number of defeats, the top damage dealer or healer, and so forth. New battles can be created with the built-in matchmaking system that takes into account skill and experience for more balanced encounters.
A loot list is also displayed at the conclusion of each match, in which players can select up to three items to win by random roll, while gold is automatically distributed evenly among team members. Players can use this gold to purchase new equipment and items from vendors in between battles. While Fury is free to play online and includes monthly updates, an optional subscription plan is available for $9.99 per month. This "Immortal Membership" plan includes such perks as an extra roll slot to win items, personal battle stats, fast travel options, invitations to weekly or season ladder tournaments, and more. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“Such a disappointment. I loved the beta, the PVP of it was great fun, but they really stuffed up the release - it was worse than Beta! Gave up after about a week :(”

“I am really looking forward to this game. The promise of a fast PvP game with no grind sounds almost to good to be true. Let's hope it lives up to it.”
