DESCRIPTION
Based on the television series aired on Cartoon Network, Fullmetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy is the story of Edward and Alphonse Elric, and their quest to find the Philosopher's Stone, an object said to grant the user abilities in transmutation. In "Story" mode, players assume the role of Edward and Alphonse and then journey through a side-scrolling adventure to defeat the Homunculi with powers that include stone spikes and bolts of fire. In "Character" mode, gamers can select from one of six characters also featured on Fullmetal Alchemist. Choosing between Roy Mustang, Alex Louis Armstrong, and Scar among others will equip players with a variety of unique powers and fighting styles created for each of the six characters. Unlocking content through gameplay yields such goodies as talking character alarm clocks, video and sound libraries, and character galleries. Dual Sympathy also features ten mini-games including "Whack-A-Homunculus" and "Fullmetal vs. Flame." ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide

“It was with a strange sense of relief that after finishing Fullmetal Alchemist DS that I realised it was the first decent anime-to-videogame adaptation I've ever played. A fun beat-'em-up that is faithful to the first anime series.”
