DESCRIPTION
An enhanced remake of 1995's Super Famicom game, Front Mission makes its U.S. debut as a futuristic strategy title played with armored mechs called wanzers. In the year 2090, two superpowers are engaged in a bitter power struggle. Diplomacy is not an option, so the only resolution is the complete destruction of the rival faction. Players can choose from either opposing force, the OCU or the USC, as a storyline unfolds through cinematic cut-scenes before each mission.
After selecting a mission destination on a world map, players can outfit their mechanized units with various weapons and body parts before proceeding to battle. Viewed from an isometric perspective, battles are fought using a turn-based system for both movement and attacking. DS-specific features include a touch-screen interface, controllable characters from other Front Mission games, additional parts and weapons, new missions, and multi-card wireless support for versus play. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
