DESCRIPTION
You are a frog named Frogger and you are trying to make it to your home bay within a limited period of time. Between you and this safe haven lies a busy highway and a dangerous river. To make it from the sidewalk to the other side of the highway, you must hop between four lanes of rapidly (and slowly) moving cars and trucks, dodging them as though your life depended on it (it does). Once you have crossed the highway, you are safe on the riverbank.
To get across the river, you must hop on alligators, turtles and floating logs, timing your jumps so you don't land in the water, on an otter, on a snake or in an alligator's mouth. You must also be careful not to float off-screen. From time to time, a white lady frog will appear on a log. If you rescue her, you will receive bonus points.
Once you are on the far side of the river, you can then try to hop into one of the five home bays. If an alligator head appears in a bay, avoid it at all costs; if a fly appears in a bay, you can eat it for extra points. When all five bays are full, you get bonus points, and the action starts all over again, with you back on the sidewalk.
Based on the Sega Arcade game, Frogger is available on many home systems, including the PlayStation, the Genesis, the SNES, the Intellivision, the Atari 2600 and the Atari 5200. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
