DESCRIPTION
At first glance, this version of Frogger is a nice port of the 1981 arcade classic. However, the non-centering Atari 5200 controllers make the action awkward as players must hold down a side button in addition to manipulating the joystick in order to maneuver the frog. This is to prevent errant jumps, which would otherwise occur frequently if this non-intuitive, but absolutely necessary control system were not in place. Also, the snappy theme music is absent during actual gameplay, and the graphics are a shade paler than the ColecoVision rendition of the game. On the plus side, the program offers two game speeds, which can make for a more harrowing journey. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
