DESCRIPTION

One part social mixer and two parts sports game, Freestyle Street Basketball presents a collection of virtual online community courts for pick-up games and championship play. One-on-one, two-on-two, and three-on-three games are all supported, with online leader boards keeping track of the action. Simple, four-button controls are designed to allow even casual players to learn to dominate the asphalt.

The online game encourages players to extensively customize their in-game appearances, from a selection of clothing and other cosmetic character options. Basketball skills can be customized as well, with each player able to choose the particular skills he or she wants to bring to each match. With practice and experience, characters earn the chance to chose new skills, with powerful moves and abilities such as the "One-handed Power Slam" becoming available at higher levels.

There is no subscription fee required to play Freestyle Street Basketball, but many clothing choices and other customization options must be purchased with virtual, in-game "points" (which in turn may be purchased with real-world, out-of-game cash). ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
