Sega's sports management series returns to the pitch for another season of fevered football action and offers a window into the strategic side of soccer in Football Manager 2010. Gamers can once again take control of hundreds of officially licensed teams and thousand of real players — including the return of U.S. Major League Soccer squads — and lead them through their respective regular seasons and tournaments. A new user interface is designed to give the menus a more streamlined look and make navigation simpler, while new graphical touches include more than 100 updated player animations, sharper lighting, and more degradation of the soccer fields. Tactics have also been overhauled, with new pre-set options and touchline instructions designed to make it easier for gamers to alter their team's playing style on the fly. A new "Match Analysis" tool lets players track every shot, pass, header, and foul to locate strengths and weaknesses in each team, while the new "Competition Editor" helps gamers add new leagues and keep and track of in-season player movement. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
