DESCRIPTION
Folklore invites players to journey through a fantasy world of combat and creatures. Taking on the roles of Ellen and Keats, players must adventure through seven Earth-like worlds as they encounter and defeat a variety of mythical creatures. Gamers begin with only enough power to summon smaller creatures, however, by progressing through the game players learn to call on more omnipotent allies. Each controllable monster features a power that is useful in several pre-determined situations such as an animal that can temporarily disable enemies by pouring honey over them. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide

“One of the earliest PS3 games released is still one of the system's most unique, enjoyable adventure mysteries. The graphics are a bit dated but it's still a good looking game with a beautiful, haunting visual style. The gameplay is a mix of action RPG elements and monster collecting. The Sixaxis motion control is put to good use by being the main mechanic used to "yank" and collect the souls of enemies. The game revolves around two people trying to solve a series of murders and mysteries in a haunted Irish town. The story is told through comic book style panes and narrated with some good, solid voice work. The game is rounded out by a sparse, melodic soundtrack that fits the ethereal setting perfectly.”

“This game is like a cult classic. You either love it or hate it, and I love it. My one problem with the game is the way the characters move. However, besides movement everything else in the game is great. I love the story and art of the game. Most of the places you visit are beautiful. The game is also very unique. The battle system of using folks is really cool. ”

“This game is pretty. Pretty REPETITIVE! Ugh. It makes you wanna hide in a cave on the Aran Islands until it goes away. The levels are identical but they change the color scheme and draw the creatures differently...still they didn't fool ME! I...”

The levels are identical but they change the color scheme and draw the creatures differently...still they didn't fool ME! I traded this hideous thing in for Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Now THAT...is a game.”

“Hmm...I was hoping that there'd be more to the Dungeon Trial mode than this...this looks pretty boring. Maybe it's because I've only cleared one level so far. Perhaps if I did more, I'd be able to...”

“Un giallo davvero molto interessante, condito da un'atmosfera fiabesca unica. A tratti purtroppo risulta frustrante a causa della doppia-gestione della storia, ma assolutamente godibile.”
