DESCRIPTION
Fly! 2K is a flight simulation game that offers flights all around the country, including locations like Los Angeles, New York and so forth. The objective of the simulation is to have you do everything required of a real pilot in order to complete your missions.
In the different scenarios you are given, you may not have to perform a complete flight but you do have to accomplish the realistic tasks as if you were in the actual situation — take-off, engine failure, air flaps — they're all present. Each of the planes has unique properties but the same forces affect all of them. There is, of course, gravity, lift and wind — just a few of the aspects that will force you to alter your flight plan.
The game is laid out sequentially. You begin by piloting a popular civilian aircraft, the Cessna 172E Skyhawk. There are a number of scenarios to complete using this plane before moving on to the next one. Once you finish the missions (or before, if you feel lucky), you can move on to the Piper Malibu Mirage, an advanced heavy single-engine aircraft. After that comes the Piper Navajo Chieftain followed by the Beech Super King Air 200 and, finally, the Raytheon Hawker 800XP.
Fly! 2K is an enhanced version of the original flight simulation Fly! and, in fact, contains the same instruction book. Along with other features, this version adds online voice chat capability Roger Wilco support, a Sky ! Environment Exciter and an expanded global elevation database. ~ Mark Kanarick, All Game Guide
