DESCRIPTION
Suitably enough, Visual Concepts' The Floigan Brothers takes place in the Floigan Brothers' Junkyard, a colorful, cartoony, 3D rendered lot filled to the fences with odd puzzles and unique challenges. The brothers themselves are fashioned after a classic "buddy story" archetype, as the conniving Hoigle is small but clever while his good-hearted brother Moigle is physically strong but intellectually lacking. As Hoigle's physical limitations prevent him from performing many tasks and Moigle's over-developed sense of morality prevents him from participating in acts he may deem less-than-noble, neither brother can accomplish very much on his own. The two brothers must creatively combine their assets to solve the many puzzles that they face.
Players take on the role of Hoigle, who begins the game collecting useful parts to help his brother with a special project. Hoigle needs Moigle's help to collect all the equipment and supplies that will be necessary to continue the project. The brothers must "work" together through future challenges as well, especially when the evil local oil baron (who covets the brothers' land) besieges the junkyard with a platoon of commando kittens. Gameplay often involves tricking Moigle to use his superior size and strength to overcome an obstacle or to perform a physically challenging task in a fit of unbridled emotion. Like the whole adventure, solutions to the puzzles are often garnished with humorous exchanges and classic cartoon violence. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
