DESCRIPTION

Firepower 2000 is a unique vertical scroller in that players can select one of two attack vehicles, a jeep or a helicopter. The jeep is slow and vulnerable to the many ground-based attacks, but it can fire in all directions. The helicopter can only fire forward, but it is quick and can travel safely over the surface enemies. The most enjoyable route is the two-player simultaneous mode, which lets one player control the jeep while the other player controls the helicopter. With no continues and no save feature, defeating the game's six levels is a formidable challenge. Thankfully, there are some nice power-ups (such as flame and lasers), and the graphics are crisp and clear, making it easy to keep track of things, even when the action is hot and heavy.
