DESCRIPTION

Featuring sounds and graphics that are barely a cut above the typical NES game, Fire Striker takes the barrier-busting formula pioneered by Breakout and Arkanoid and places it in an action-adventure setting complete with bosses, power-ups, and a map. Players control a knight who swings his sword at a ball of light that bounces around destroying primarily generic enemies (such as bats), breaking through obstacles, and opening treasure chests in order to progress to the next of the game's 14 levels. A second player or the computer controls a mage whose job it is to prevent the ball from falling through the bottom of the playfield. A four-player soccer-like mode is also available.
