Japan's popular wrestling series makes a comeback on North American PS2s in Fire Pro Wrestling Returns. The Fire Pro series, which saw two Game Boy Advance releases in the early 2000s, is known for its huge selection of wrestlers and extensive customization capabilities. Fire Pro Wrestling Returns brings more of the same 2D action, featuring a roster of hundreds of different wrestlers and the ability to create and save hundreds more. The game also features a massive amount of grapples and moves, which, when combined with the character design function and the ability to create custom referees, rings, logos, and belts, lets players recreate just about any famous wrestling match in history. Up to eight players can go head-to-head or team up in the game's many modes, which vary from simple single matches, to battle royals, to violent cage matches like the electrified barbed wire ropes exploding deathmatch. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
