“@Retodon8 ah! Okay... that _is_ a snowy peak. I thought it was some sort of weird cloud/northern lights formation at that point, and I was looking at some weird Esper type interaction going on.
Now that, yeah, those are snowy peaks, I figured out it was the scene at the beginning in Narshe.

Best Final Fantasy. Well, I have not played FFVIII, though it did bring some nice elements to the table. Such as:
* Not getting money from the monsters. Instead, the characters get paid for the time the are wandering around a level fighting monsters.
* Keeping overleveling from working. Level up too much? Well, so are the monsters. The monsters get tougher as you get tougher. A nice addition to the series.
* Explaination of Magic. In this game, it is gained from the monsters itself. Which kind of decently explains it.
As per the others. I have only really played IV, IV-2, V, VI.. though, I have watched my brother play VII, VIII, IX, and X.
Of the ones I watched, I liked IX the best.
IV, has largely been ruined by IV-2 (horrid plot--they filled it with _every_ cliche imaginable. I was hoping Biggs and Wedge would slap Prince Emo more often. My line, "hey! My name is mother fucking Briggs! I am lucky if I make it out of the current scene. I mean, put me into a Red Shirt, and I am double fucked! You however are just a whiny brat Prince. Get over it!"). V, I really enjoy. Seems quite customisable. While the game play itself seems rather easy, the plot is not too too bad. VI... it has been a while since I played it. I recall really enjoying it though (however, I have since then learned that just because I enjoyed something before does not mean anything).”
