DESCRIPTION
Square rekindles its relationship with Nintendo in this exclusive release of a Final Fantasy game, the first on a Nintendo platform since 1994's Final Fantasy III. Rather than follow the same format as previous titles in the best-selling role-playing game series, the developers have opted for a more action-oriented approach. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles adopts a style similar to Nintendo's own Legend of Zelda series, with combat occurring in real time and players being able to roam the countryside from a third-person perspective behind their characters. Connectivity with the Game Boy Advance is also supported, as up to four players can cooperate in the adventure together using the handheld systems as controllers. When linked, each Game Boy Advance displays statistics such as health and experience points, freeing the main screen from clutter. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“I was so excited when this game came out, I was having Final Fantasy withdrawal and I pre-ordered and got this game. I skipped home while smiling with the game, popped it into my gamecube and then proceeded to hate my life entirely. I needed game boys and friends now, this wasn't the Final Fantasy I fell in love with, this was some new weird multiplayer game that was done very badly.
I managed to beat this game solo, and I will never have anything nice to say about this series. Even the DS entries make me angry. I'm putting my last hope for this series into "The Crystal Bearers" and if it lets me down I am officially ignoring all FF:Crystal Chronicles games.”

“Entrusting action based game but not really a game I'd choose over the MMOs I play today”

“Played with a few friends yesterday. Fun while it lasted, but after playing several hours we discovered that the data was not saving properly. On top of that, the memory card got stuck in my Wii...”

“FFCC is a great game. The ability to make your own character and use mildly customize gear is great. The downside to it was the limited story after an allotted* time not to mention that you would equip gear but your armor wouldn't change. Decent game”
