DESCRIPTION
The Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles series receives a complete makeover for its second appearance on Wii. Set one thousand years after the first title, the game's world is populated by hordes of monsters as well as competing tribes that are experimenting with science and technology. While magic has been outlawed throughout the realm, a few select individuals have shattered crystals in their bodies, imbuing them with mystical powers. You are cast in the role of one such crystal bearer, a young mercenary named Layle, whose mission is to see that the airship Alexis arrives to its destination in one piece. This kicks off an adventure that will have Layle journeying across outdoor regions and within trap-filled dungeons. The motion-sensing controls make use of Layle's crystal-enhanced powers, allowing him to solve puzzles, battle creatures, and explore his surroundings by grabbing and manipulating items or characters with the Wii Remote's infrared pointer. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“Pushed my way through the last of the game. Final boss was frustrating until I figured out I was doing it wrong.”

“Just got this as a gift. I've been wanting it, and can't wait to advance a little more in it. I'm a little stuck right now though trying to figure out how to open the gate in the start of the game.”

“Initially I gave this game a 3 stars, but I moved it up to 4 stars. It's initial impression and the bad camera control kinda made me go off on the game... However that's changed, it takes some time to adjust but this game is truly fantastic. The story is epic (despite the lacking voice acting at times) the main character is a good hearted bad ass. It's neat how many different ways you can beat up enemies but the combat isn't deep so don't go expecting an amazing battle system. This game truly shines in the mini-games peppered all throughout the story. They are necessary and very action oriented. Although I don't think you can lose them technically, you can get achievements for doing them well. So buck up, it's a kid's game, but it's still a pleasure to play.
Destruction everywhere. The ability to interact with just about anything although you can't really talk to anyone in the game... I dunno, it's an off and on game with it's obvious flaws, but look past it and you may just have some ridiculous fun.
P.S. It's really annoying that there's no functioning map in the game. I've gotten lost in this game so much it isn't even funny. I have to look up online how to get to particular places cause the world is just too damn big and hard to navigate at times.
P.P.S. I still back this game. It's addictive and fun.”

“Just cleared the first giant boss of the game, the camera bugs me but the graphics and many different ways to dispatch enemies are delightful. Story is simple and well done considering they don't...”

“I love the look of the game, it's true what they say it's got the best looking graphics on Wii to date. I however am finding no problem with this game, difficulty wise that is. Point, click, grab,...”
