Electronic Arts debuts their first soccer title for the Sega Genesis with FIFA International Soccer. The game is played entirely from a three-quarter perspective, offering a different view from previous soccer games on the system. Players also sport detailed animation and can perform moves like diving headers, slide tackles and bicycle kicks. On-field referees will card players who are too aggressive and digitized crowd chants will make players feel like they're at the stadium.
Play modes include Tournament, Playoffs, League and Exhibition, where you can choose from a total of 48 international teams plus the EA All-Stars. Other options include grass or artificial turf fields, fouls, adjustable half times, manual or computer controlled goalies, variable weather conditions, and either an arcade or simulation style of play. A password save feature will let players resume their tournament, league or playoffs. Up to four players can compete simultaneously with a 4-Way Play adapter. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
