DESCRIPTION
Fallout: Tactics — Brotherhood of Steel is a squad combat game set in the post-apocalyptic Fallout universe. This game's story takes place on the timeline between the stories of Fallout and Fallout 2. Unlike these classic predecessors, however, Fallout: Tactics is not a pure role-playing game. Although this release includes features like character development, NPC interaction, and a detailed, developing plot, the emphasis in Fallout: Tactics — Brotherhood of Steel is on strategic, team-based missions.
Players control a squad of six characters from an isometric, third-person perspective. Battles take place in real time, but characters are limited in the amount that they can do in a given period. The action can be also be paused for a more turn-based experience, allowing the player time to consider strategies. Players draft their squad from a group of over 25 available soldiers and may customize abilities, appearances and other aspects. Throughout missions, the characters will need to run, sneak, crawl, climb, and even commandeer vehicles as they make their way through dangerous areas, maintaining a tactical advantage over the enemy. ~ T.J. “Probably the best combat and party control ever seen in a Fallout game. Unlike previous versions of the game you actually had control over your squadmates so they didn't act like idiots the whole game. This came at the cost of good dialogue/story.”
