DESCRIPTION

Excitebots is an over-the-top racing game with fantasy vehicles and unbelievable stunts. As in the Wii launch title Excite Truck and the 8-bit inspiration ExciteBike, high-flying jumps are a big part of each race, and good landings are crucial to top-speed runs. Instead of four-wheelers or dirt bikes, players race "bots," which are mechanical bugs, lizards, and other cute and creepy creatures, all built for speed. Bots can collect parts they find along the raceways to become faster or stronger.

Controls are designed to be accessible and intuitive for players of all ages and skill levels. The game is compatible with the Wii Wheel accessory. Players steer their vehicles, and tip them forward or back, by tilting the Wii Remote, held sideways. Tricks are performed by moving the controller in different patterns while in midair, with combos scoring the most points. In addition to the races, players can run their favorite bots through obstacle courses, sports-inspired challenges, and other included mini-games. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
