DESCRIPTION
Evolution Worlds continues the anime-styled adventures of Mag Launcher and Linear Cannon as they explore labyrinths and ancient ruins while searching for lost treasure. As in the two previous Dreamcast games, battles within the dungeons are fought using a turn-based system, with attacks being enhanced by cybernetic armaments called Cyframes.
Each character offers different skills or Cyframes to assist the party, and experience earned from combat can be used to upgrade abilities as well as equipment. To change the dynamics of battles, players can alter attack positions to minimize damage received or to maximize a character's strengths. As players become more proficient in combat, they can return to town to receive new missions. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“A combination of the two Evolution games from the Dreamcast. Both were good games, even though they were dungeon crawlers for it's time. I am glad they compiled it and bought it first chance I got. The main difference about this game is that they tie the two stories together by cutting some of the middle levels out so that by the end of the game, you are about the same level you would of been had you only played one of the two games. I guess they figured the average person would grow bored if they grinded enough XP for two whole games. I honestly don't remember if they cut out the scenes that happened between the cut levels as it has been so long since I played the original.”
