DESCRIPTION
In the Stolta region of the land of Edinberi, a girl called Sharuami befriends a younger boy in their village. Soon they come to regard each other as a sibling, drawing their respective families into friendship as well.
However, the peaceful days end when soldiers from Morea sweep into the village, killing the boy's parents and unleashing a cataclysm that, unbeknownst to the villagers, hurls Sharuami into the Lost Kingdom of Rheubane. She awakes in a strange landscape, and encounters a good Samaritan in a woman who soon afterwards is abducted by sinister men. In search of this lost benefactor and for a way home, Sharuami's adventure begins.
On the hand of an orphan named Uterald is a strange bruise, and in his heart a secret conviction that the same bruise is a curse which guided the swords of the invading Morean army to his parents and his best friend. Little does he know that in the ages past, the mark was known as the "Crest" and those who carried it were feared as bringers of tragedies.
Nor is he aware that his friend and surrogate sister Sharuami is far from dead, but was instead caught up in a dimensional breach triggered by Uterald's own rage at his parents' murder. Thirsting for vengeance, Uterald grows into manhood to become one of the four Stoltan Knights, waging war against the Kingdom of Morea.
Having tracked the remains of that army to the forest one day, Uterald unintentionally goes through the portal and finds himself in Rheubane, the kingdom that was supposed to have been decimated ages ago. Met by an odd creature calling itself Forim, Uterald takes his first step towards uncovering the secret of the Crest, and of his own destiny.
Aside from a plotline linking together the two protagonists on two distinct timelines, the title also has two notable features: Palmira and the "Dress Up System". Magically bonding a crystalline substance called Palmira to the protagonist's armor or weapons increases strength, and allows the character to use special techniques called "Palmira Action".
In addition, any and all items acquired in the course of the game can be worn or otherwise adopted for use in real-time under the "Dress Up System", and equipment combination can affect other parameters such as cost of repairs later on. The storyline enters its final phase only when the game has been played to a certain point for both Sharuami and Uterald, and the player is required to play both characters. ~ A.S.
