DESCRIPTION

The developers of Escape from Hell enjoyed a little tongue-in-cheek fun by designing the game with themselves as characters. You play the part of main character Dick who must locate and rescue his girlfriend Alison and friend Alan from the depths of Hell. Mostly through combat and exploring, you encounter Hell Guards, demons and other nasty characters that call Hell home. No less than 67 different weapons rated in effectiveness from a J-Mart Hose (2 damage points) to an Anti-Tank Rifle (100 damage points) comprise your arsenal. Twenty items of defensive armor are available ranging from a Garbage Can Lid (2 pts) to a Bullet Proof Suit (13 pts). Characters are endowed with personal attributes (standard role playing categories with an emphasis on stealth and evasion), passive and active skills, hit point ratings, inventories and so forth, most modifiable through in-game actions.
