DESCRIPTION

Ehrgeiz is a three dimensional fighting game from the developers at Squaresoft. There are eight unique characters who punch and kick each other through multi-level (and sometimes moving) 3D platforms. This means that players have the chance to evade an opponent's attack by blocking it or sidestepping it. They can also jump to a different level of the fighting platform and force the opponent to follow.

Ehrgeiz uses a joystick and four button layout. The buttons used control blocks, punches, kicks, and jumps. Each player has special projectile attacks which can hurt opponents at long range.

Players must defeat all seven other characters to advance to a fight against the boss character. Defeating the boss character will reveal the destiny of the player's character as he or she gains control of the Ehrgeiz, a weapon of incredible and ultimate power. ~ Anthony Baize, All Game Guide
