DESCRIPTION
EA Playground is a recreation-themed title designed for casual gamers, featuring a total of nine activities played with child characters. Available on both Wii and DS, each version features a distinct lineup of games. DS owners can choose from the following touch-screen titles: Dodgeball, Hoops, Hopscotch, RC Racers, Bug Hunt, Kicks, Skate & Sketch, Spitballs, and Trampoline. Dodgeball moves from gymnasiums to dual screens, where characters fling a rubber ball to knock out members of rival teams. Hoops has characters flinging basketballs from different areas of a court, scoring a varying number of points based on a shot's distance or difficulty.
Kicks combines elements of soccer and volleyball, with characters using their feet instead of their hands to launch balls over a net and into a goal. Hopscotch closely follows the color- and sound-matching gameplay of Simon, while RC Racers has players steering toy cars from an overhead perspective. Bug Hunt is a race to scoop up butterflies, Spitballs involves blowing into the microphone to lob gobs of paper, and Trampoline is a balloon-popping jumping game. The last game in the collection, Skate & Sketch, has players connecting a series of dots with the stylus to perform skateboarding tricks on the half-pipe. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
