In Dynasty Warriors for Game Boy Advance, players choose one of 13 legendary Chinese heroes to lead to greatness in a time of legend. Although its 2D graphics are far more colorful and cartoonish, the campaign in the GBA version of Dynasty Warriors progresses similarly to that of the contemporary PSP version of the title, in that players assert their domination of the "Warring States" in a board game-style interface, which allows them to choose their stand-alone battles in a strategic, turn-based way. The fighting itself is all action, however, with a wide choice of weaponry and special moves. More than 175 individual battle maps await, so heroes will have plenty of opportunity to develop their skills and prove their prowess. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
