DESCRIPTION

Fifty years ago, the demon Natas stole the Orb of Ora, a magical artifact that grants its wielder the power to rule the world. A band of legendary heroes gathered together to retrieve the orb from the demon. After many perilous quests, the group managed to defeat Natas and retrieve the orb. Now an evil sorcerer by the name of Phades has resurrected the demon Natas to help him capture the orb. Once again a band of heroes must gather together to retrieve the orb.

Dungeon Explorer 2 is played from a 2D overhead perspective. Up to five players can join together in the quest for the orb. The characters must travel through the land, defeating enemies in Gauntlet-style gameplay. There are enemy generator points scattered throughout stages that periodically produce different types of monsters. Characters must destroy these monsters and generator points by shooting them repeatedly with their attacking skill. If a character is struck by a monster, he or she loses hit points; when the hit points fall to zero the character dies. By defeating enough monsters, characters can level up and increase their hit point limit.

There are eight selectable characters at the beginning of the game. Each character is rated in four attributes: agility, attack, constitution and magic. Each character also has set amount of starting hit points as well as a black magic and a white magic skill. White magics are healing and protective in nature, while black magics are for attack. White magic skills cost one white potion bottle to use, while black magic skills cost one skull. Potions and skulls can be colleted throughout the game.
