“When I first played this game, it reminded me of why I loved Duke Nukem 3D on the n64. It's all cheese. Dukes lines aren't funny, they're cliche, which is entirely intentional because this game is a parody of movies games and most entertainment.
In places, DNF falls victim to old methods found in video games designed to stretch out the play time, such as awkward platformer style jumping, but whenever one of these are present, you can guarantee Duke will mention it.
The silliness of the comedy, references to various entertainment and the excess vulgarity kept me coming back almost daily for more.
I must admit, towards the end of the game the humour was less frequent and left me with a 'shoot everything, move on, repeat' formula which I was growing tired of, but then luckily the game ended (which by the way, was very anti-climatic).
That, along with the already dead multiplayer makes this game an average 3 star game rather than a four. I really cannot understand all the hate this game has recieved!”
