“This game doesn't get old. My main four jobs (one per character) are level 90+, and I have several secondary vocations between level 50-90. I've collected most of the job-specific scrolls to arm...”

“Catalina was in the first post. Flirt was in the last one. Blinda was part of the original three. Her main goal was to be able to steal anything--as well as be extremely nice looking. However, not...”

“Next round of introductions... Catalina's Introduction was in my last update of this game. Flirt, who is currently rocking the Gladiator Class. Flirt started off as the pervy cleric. As typically...”

“I believe the DS is an amazing device and for some reason I believe traditional RPG's are even better on this platform as well. I think it may be because you open the DS like a horizontal book and you usually have pen in hand and RPG's are vivid and imaginative stories - thus adding to the magic of the experience.
Dragon Quest IX has taken my beloved traditional RPG that has never seemed to change in over twenty years and made a portable installment just as good as any other installment! I love this game to bits! The graphics were incredible for the system! It had the usual monsters, the customizable characters, the online or offline choice of playing, and somehow they managed to have over 200 hours of gameplay trying to master this game.
This game kept me very happy for a very long time during my 2 hours bus ride to work, and from work when I used to be playing it. I used to be excited to take transit to work JUST so I could play this game.
Bottom line: If you like RPG's and you know Dragon Quest this is a game that you shouldn't miss!”

“Got my Hero up to 65, beat both Paladin quests (by somewhat cheating), and defeated Sir Sanguinis for the first time (still twice as easy as effin' Atlas).”

“This is my second game that I bought for my DS after Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown War. As always I went trough all available reviews, previews and gameplay videos I could find before purchasing. Once I played the game itself I surely was not disappointed.
First and foremost this game for me is like my own little personal MMORPG where I can go to get my doze of level grinding, world exploring, character customization and all those things I do on real PC MMORPG's. The world is big enough that you can't really remember all of it at once, hence theres always something to do for short game sessions.
Secondly the storyline quests are great. The plot twists give your brains that warm and comfy squeeze as it tries to understand what excactly just happened. The stories are also emotionally very hearth warming and manage to touch your emotions in a good way. The characters and the game world in general is delightfully funny also.
The mobs are... well at first area you are fighting a spear wielding cucumber (named cruelcumber) . All of the mobs are not as hilarious as that though, as there are also many "normal" (from western MMORPG point of view) RPG mobs like golems and dragons. All in all the enemies are funny, without sliding into too whacky theme.
I only have one word of warning about this game. For a person used to "western style" RPGs (like me) the child like appearence of the game characters might feel ackward. Getting good looking gear does help but it won't complitely wash away the feeling that you are watching a childs cartoon.
But despite that this game is definately worth the money if you like (MMO)RPG's, and would like to have one that you can carry in your pocket + a great story to adventure trough as a bonus. ”

“They should call it Dragon Crack! It's amazing!! I've only played a little of the NES Dragon Quest (AKA Dragon Warrior) and I've been waiting for a game that pushes the limit of what the DS can do....”
