DESCRIPTION
You are Billy Lee, master of martial arts and street fighting. One day while strolling with your girlfriend Marian, the two of you get jumped by members of the Black Warriors Gang. While you are knocked unconscious, the gang takes Marian to their hideout, the Samurai Mansion. Your brother Jimmy Lee is not around in this version so you alone must save her.
During your mission to save your girl, you must fight a slew of gang members at various locations throughout the city. The six levels of action will take you uptown, to the slums, down to the docks, on top of a train, out in the country, and of course, to the Samurai Mansion. As a seasoned fighter, you can perform high kicks, straight kicks, spinning kicks, sliding low kicks, punches, and other moves. In addition to using your hands and feet to fight, Billy Lee can pick up weapons along the way such as guns and knives. Ultimately, you must face the Black Samurai himself. Based on the 1986 Arcade hit of the same name, Double Dragon (or one or more of its sequels) is also available for the NES, Genesis, SNES, Game Boy, Atari 7800, Atari 2600, and Sega Master System. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
