DESCRIPTION

A respectable port of the popular PC game (with redesigned, but similar levels), Doom for the 32X has fast gameplay, smooth animation, colorful graphics, and the same type of gory gameplay found in the original. The BFG 9000 gun seems to be missing (despite its presence in the manual), a thick border surrounding the screen makes the playfield too small, enemies cannot be viewed from the side, and there are fewer levels than in the original game. Still, it's much better than the Super NES version, and the basic first-person shooting action will please fans of the genre. A six-button controller is recommended. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
