DESCRIPTION

Guide young Pocahontas and her rambunctious raccoon friend Meeko in a side-scrolling adventure based on Disney's animated film. Originally released on the Genesis, the game involves acquiring nine animal spirits so Pocahontas can prevent a war between her Powhatan tribe and the English settlers. Each new spirit grants the young princess a power, such as the ability to swim, land softly from a high jump, or to swing from tree branches. To earn an animal spirit, Pocahontas must first free her forest friends from various predicaments with the help of Meeko.

As in the Genesis game, players can switch between the pair at any time and use each character's strengths to advance past obstacles, such as rocks, rivers, and trees. Meeko can jump into Pocahontas' arms to reach higher areas, for example, while Pocahontas can push large objects. As players progress through the game's 15 levels, venturing out into the enchanted glade, Indian village, and settler's fort, they will receive passwords to resume their adventure at a later time.
