A toolbox full of innovative art supplies that doesn't stop at paint, pencils, and pens is at young artists fingertips with Disney's Magic Artist Deluxe. This PC art studio combines traditional paint applications with image import and export abilities, animation, and many other effects and abilities that allow kids to go where their artful imaginations take them.
Choose to draw, color, paint, and add background props and other images to ready-made pictures, or create your own. Images of popular Disney characters like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto are featured in different settings that can be turned into animated scenes. Make Mickey dance or Pluto do a balancing act. Kids can add their own personal creative effects to any scene with the option to save their creations or even e-mail them. To create different effects within a picture, standard tools like a paintbrush, spray paint, and pencil are included in the toolbox along with some other, more creative tools. A few examples include the Drizzle Tool for splattering paint, the Crayon Block that drops crayon shavings onto the screen and then irons them down, the Pastry Tool with differently shaped attachments for squirting "frosting," and the Image Spray that sprays animated images onto the canvas. Using the Image Spray tool, kids can watch popcorn kernels pop, cookies bake, and butterflies fly. When the animation ends, the objects will have stopped in random locations on the screen and remain as motionless additions to a picture.
Other options include downloading or uploading images online, printing, scanning, and editing. Images exclusive to the website can be downloaded and added to the existing collection of stamps, props, and backgrounds, and artwork can be uploaded to display online. With the proper hardware, photos can be scanned and edited with frames, lettering, and more and e-mailed to family and friends. Proud parents can also print their children's creations for display at home. ~ Jennifer Beam, All Game Guide
