In this side-scrolling adventure inspired by the 2000 feature film starring Glenn Close as Cruella De Vil, players assume the canine roles of Oddball and Domino as they search a dangerous toy factory for their captured siblings. Each level features a number of caged puppies to free before players are allowed to advance. Yet in order to unlock the cages, Oddball or Domino must first locate the hidden master key. The puppies also need to jump across platforms, activate switches, and move up stationary lifts while avoiding numerous threats.
De Vil's sidekicks Horace Baddun, Jasper Baddun, and Jean-Pierre LePelt are lurking throughout the game's 17 levels, as are battery-operated robodogs, toy monkeys, bouncing goblins, and bombing blimps. Enemy contact diminishes the puppy's paw meter depicted at the bottom of the screen, but players can replenish each of the five sections by finding bones hidden throughout the level. While Oddball and Domino begin the game with three attempts to free their brothers and sisters, collecting golden Super Bones affords them one extra chance per bone collected. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
