DESCRIPTION

The Diggles are cute little people who live underground. They spend their lives digging holes, protecting their homes, falling in love, and raising their offspring. Players lead a clan of Diggles through many generations of cultural development, helping them to learn new skills and abilities (and improving the family stock through selective breeding). The clan must be always wary of the many dangers they may face in their underground world, from scary beasts and monsters to the unwelcome encroachment by rival clans.

The game gives a light-hearted presentation of sophisticated strategic challenges as players must balance work and training with relaxation and "cuddle time" to keep their Diggles happy and healthy. To ensure lasting peace and prosperity, the clan must eventually face the monster hound Fenris, who has escaped from his master Odin and now rules the underground world with fear.
