DESCRIPTION
A game most gamers dig, Dig Dug for the Atari 5200 is an excellent conversion of the arcade great. The characters are less detailed, but the subterranean texture has been nicely reproduced (unlike the VCS rendition) and gameplay is about as accurate as one could hope for. The biggest flaw is that the 5200 version of the lead character is slower than his coin-op counterpart. Curiously, this port offers a new feature: the ability to select from 11 rounds at which to start the game. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
