DESCRIPTION
A simple enough translation of Namco's arcade chestnut, Dig Dug for the Apple II is subjected to the equivalent of panning-and-scanning a widescreen movie: in this version, there's no scrolling, and the playfield is only as big as the screen. While this limits the game somewhat, it is otherwise a spot-on port with decent graphics and minimalist attempts at the game's music and sound effects. There are options for either keyboard or joystick control, but it's a bit of a toss-up as to which gives you a better chance of beating the game. ~ Earl Green, All Game Guide
