DESCRIPTION
THQ's angry alien antagonist Crypto makes his Xbox 360 debut in Path of the Furon. Set in the "burn, baby, burn" 1970s, the game offers five parody-packed areas to conquer, each inspired by real-world locales like Las Vegas, Hollywood, Hong Kong, and Paris. While humans must be eradicated at all costs, Crypto will also deal with a mysterious new threat to his Furon brethren. After seeking spiritual guidance from an alien Kung Fu master, Crypto prepares for his biggest, most irreverent battle yet. Over the course of multiple missions, Crypto will engage enemies on the ground and through the air on board his flying saucer. Entire buildings can even be razed, offering plenty of opportunities to snatch fleeing people for DNA harvesting.
Returning weapons include the ion detonator, anal probe, and disintegrator ray. New devices range from the "Venus human trap," which spawns a giant plant to gobble up nearby gawkers, to the black hole gun, which automatically sucks enemies into a dark void. Added psychokinetic powers consist of the PK magnet, which has Crypto attracting multiple humans, and the temporal fist, allowing Crypto to stop and then resume time after manipulating objects. The UFO also features a few upgrades, sporting enhancements like the "tornadotron," an analog-controlled tornado launcher, along with the usual assortment of death rays, plasma cannons, seeker missiles, and "quantum deconstructors." ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“The so-so next gen offering to the great Destroy all Humans franchise. The ones on the PS2 are can't miss classics but I found this one lacking. It wasn't any one thing but I just didn't have as much fun playing this one as the others. The humor felt forced at times and the missions are all fairly the same thing but in different settings. The collectibles add nothing to the game but gamerscore and there is no replayability. A decent game but I only recommend it for fans of the franchise. ”

“Very exciting game! I never got past the second DAH in the series, but this has been pretty easygoing so far. I would recommend this for all the DAH series lovers.”

“Over halfway through the achievements, about 75% through the game. Alas, it's a rental so will need to be returned soon.”

“I find the trend of online multiplayer only games disturbing. Is this an XBox 360 only issue, or do games that are released across all consoles have different multiplayer options? As in, online...”
