DESCRIPTION
A follow-up to Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts and the sequel to Gargoyle's Quest II: The Demon Darkness, Demon's Crest stars the red demon Firebrand, one of the toughest, quickest enemies from Ghosts 'n Goblins. This time, however, he's the hero as players help him recover six powerful stones. During the quest, ghosts, goblins, and other creatures will attack. Luckily, Red Demon can fly, breathe fire, head-butt, and pick up additional weapons, including super strength and the ability to fight underwater. What sets the game apart from the pack of side-scrolling action/adventure games are strategic elements derived from an assortment of talismans, spells, and potions required to make it past certain areas of the game. In addition, the game has gorgeously hellish graphics and a distinct lack of slowdown. The only setbacks are a disappointing soundtrack and repetitious enemy movement. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
