DESCRIPTION

In Delta Fighter, you take control of a single fighter plane intent on destroying enemy forces. The game employs an overhead vertical scrolling perspective with your fighter allowed to freely explore the screen as the landscape scrolls downward. The game has only a single level but it is quite long and difficult with numerous enemies. At the end of the level is an enemy boss who must be defeated. Once accomplished, the game begins again from the beginning of the single level.

En route to destroying the enemy boss, you will encounter helicopters, battleships, tanks, fighter planes, SAM sites and gun turret installations. All enemies can be destroyed with a single missile except for the last boss and, conversely, your plane can be destroyed by a single piece of incoming enemy fire. Destruction of your aircraft can also occur if flown into buildings that are scattered about the screen. At some points in the game, you need to traverse the streets with the fighter plane to assure survival.
